Our Process
At the Law Offices of Charles P. KinCannon, we approach each client as a unique person and situation. We believe that a great plan must reflect the unique goals of the client. Our process reflects this in a highly individualized relationship with each client. We help our clients discover what is important to them for their reasons, and design a plan that will accomplish their goals.
Unlike most firms, most of the process is handled with individual meetings with Charles P. KinCannon and not a staff member. Our basic estate planning process involves the following:
Step 1: Potential client has a phone consultation with Attorney Charles P. KinCannon. If appropriate, an initial meeting is scheduled.
Step 2: Potential Client completes Estate Planning Questionnaire and returns it to Charles P. KinCannon
Step 3: Potential Client meets with Charles P. KinCannon to discuss goals and objectives, analysis of personal situation, general estate planning strategies and fees for designing and implementing a plan. If Potential Client retains Charles P. KinCannon, a fee agreement is executed outlining services and fees. This may be signed at the initial meeting, or it may need to be customized for the specific client. A design meeting is scheduled.
Step 4: Client attends a 2 to 3 hour design meeting with Charles P. KinCannon where a customized estate and/or asset protection plan is designed.
Step 5: Client attends an execution meeting with Charles P. KinCannon to review and execute the plan as well as outline and begin title transfers.
Step 6: Client attends an estate review with Charles P. KinCannon as needed.
